Drawing on the same inspiration as my BOXES, BAGS, AND BASKETS series, HANDBAGS, TOTES and PURSES employs the natural colors of various clays to represent leather, canvas, linen, and other materials commonly used in these very personal items.

I continue to incorporate clay buttons, zippers, and clasps in these sometimes elegant, sometimes whimsical designs.
